    Hi Guys,

I'm looking at developing some lowering springs for the Megane 250/265. Is this something that any of you would be interested in?

    Cheers
    Josh

    Yes!

I had sent an email asking about these the other week actually!

  4. Would be highly interested in this !!!!!

  5. Possibly, the oem setup is fine but just a bit too high.

  6. hearing some nice reviews for Cooksport from members on here so i would be interested.

  7. Where are you based? I'd be interested too. :-)

As long as they are an improvement in handling as well as looks, don't want to put something in that's going to loose the sweet handling

    Interested

  11. Interested as well want a bit lower but not affecting handling

  12. Might be a stupid question but are these a project you do on the side of normal business or concentrate on?
Just wondering how long it'll be till there available that's all?

  13. +1 with Dansmotorsport, when can we expect this be be out by?

  14. I'd also be interested.

  15. Having seen this photo over on Cliosport I am now convinced lowering springs are in order. Aparently this Meg is on Eibachs:

So I'll be interested if Cooksport offer some!

  16. Ash, they already do springs for the R26 (which I'm assuming you have from your avatar?); these ones are for the 265

    True that ^

  19. I'll pipe down then :tongueout:

  20. That sits absolutely perfect, I'd be interested too in that case

    Yup same, looks perfect!

  22. +1 on these if they don't compromise the handling! Cup chassis is perfect, would hate to spoil it!

  23. Any updates on this?

  24. Might be better off just getting some Eibachs, I dont think hes even checked back into this topic since creating it?

Or maybe there's just no actual updates yet?

  26. Just give the man a chance.
Josh (top man by the way) is talking about producing a set of springs for the 250.
This shit takes time man, and if you want a proper set of matched and tested springs, you must have the patience to wait for the product.

God people are inpatient these days.

LOL at the Eibach suggestion, Fit them if you want to run softer springs that OEM Cup spec......

Haha. Development for these doesn't just happen overnight! They aren't overnight parts from Japan

  29. I'd imagine these would be months in the making if being developed from scratch.

  30. I'll take a set

  31. What about damper travel which will be lessened as we're dropping the car further down the shaft, also will this affect drive shaft angle.

as with the mk2 and clio springs I'm sure Cooksport will already know how to address this.

  33. You can buy a kit to raise the steering arms so you don't get bump steer. On the travel, well you're only buying a set of springs not dampers.

  34. If your that concerned about damper travel and driveshaft angle perhaps you'd be better off leaving it standard. I see no physical way of lowering a cars ride height and not affecting these without different dampers etc.

  35. Unless I'm mistaken development hasn't even begun yet has it?
The only post in this entire topic was one asking "Would anyone be interested?". So I don't know why everyone is defending so anally I was only making the point that yes development does takes time, so if development hasn't even begun yet you may want to try an alternative other than waiting the rest of the year. Its a fair point IMO.

  36. Is this happening still?

  37. I hope so. I'm holding off buying some H&R springs until I find out if these will be available or not.

Anything to update on this? Appreciate that he's very busy but I'm close to buying some KW Clubsports soon but these would tide me over til I have the extra cash for some Nitrons

  39. Any progress on this?

  40. Anything happening? Have a car for testing if required.
