Hi guys, had a few clios but now after one of these! I need to do some more research but my budget is around £3k. Not bothered if modified or not but I'd like a few basic mods if possible. The closer to Yorkshire the better!
Not if you get one that's been looked after. Was selling mine until the slave cylinder let go the other night. For that budget id expect you'd get a nice higher mileage one with a couple of bits on it. Good luck.
What do you think is enough? There was a nice trophy on here I fancied at £3850 but belts are due in a few months which makes it expensive IMO.
Was looking at cars to change to recently and working off a rather slim budget. Then a mate with a TME Evo said your better off spending more money for a good example. Took his word for it now looking at higher end cars. First thing Id check with one a 225 is service history. Belts, clutch and brakes as these things are going to cost some money to replace.
Belts aren't as much as you think definitely not Clio belts money and breaks aren't expensive either. Just find a good clean example
£3000 plenty for a tidy 225 I picked mine up for 1500 needing abit of work doing but there are tidy ones for around the £3000 mark
Not really, I wasn't saying that mine was tidy when I got it I was saying there are tidy ones popping up for sale around the £3000 mark all the time
Tbf Steve Burns got a tidy trophy for just over 3k. Low mileage, body was clean with no signs of any paint either Also had full history backed up with receipts
