I was rather impressed that the megane 225 kept up with the impreza wrx in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VroQdobWn4g. I would have thought the impreza would have had the edge or am I overlooking the fact that once these 2 cars are rolling the 4wd advantage is gone and the extra weight of the 4wd system would work in the megane's favour.
As you said if rolling the traction advantage has gone, also got more weight/ higher transmission losses as its 4wd. Tbh i'd expect the meg to have the advantage once rolling due to all those things if standard, but you dont know if their both standard etc etc
