Hi people, Great topic name I know, wondered if anyone can help? Today on idle my car had a very distinct weeeeeee noise Was thinking it sounded like a pump of some sort??? Water pump was changed last year with the belts. So maybe oil or fuel? Could only hear it on idle and didn't get worse as I drove back from my folks.. Car felt great, no temp or Rev problems. And to top things off it had gone by the time I had returned home and pulled up on my drive? Do I need to keep my eyes pealed for something? Mike
Hey Mike, different car, same kinda problem, i had an audi a4 which done that, thought it was a tensioner or something, turned out to be the aircon compressor, it was confirmed by turning the aircon on as the noise disappeared, expensive fix for a pump though, good luck with it...
