Marshall's R26

Discussion in 'Megane Projects' started by Marshall, Jun 27, 2014.

  1. There red stickers, but need to take them off, they are for the "other" forum haha

  2. Got a new mot on the car on Wednesday  only one advisory, offside track rod end has slight play. So I have it booked into the garage to get that replaced next Wednesday, and while they are at it they are fitting my decat aswel

  3. Don't have the decat fitted yet :worried: the garage that's doing it has been too busy with mot'd breakdowns etc :worried: but to cheer myself up I ordered a ramair cone filter yesterday and it arrived today  hopefully get that fitted this weekend. also needing new tyres all round so ordered 4 ps3's, need to get my lock nuts off the back wheels first before I get them fitted.

  4. How much have they quoted you for the fitting mate?

  5. It's just the labour cost as I've already got the decat so shouldn't be too much

  6. If its there first decat and do it on autodata time its expensive

  7. What is autodata?

Never mind, just googled it. I doubt that, I've given them a how to guide from off here on how best to do it, so at £25 an hour it shouldn't be too costly

  8. Just fitted my ramair cone filter in place of the standard airbox and filter

  9. What's it sound like mate and do you have a pic of it in the bay

I've got one sat in my ebay basket just seeing if I defiantly should do it.

  10. I like the sound of it, but I doubt it's too everyone's taste, will hopefully get a video soon and a pic of the bay

  11. Nice one

I bite the bullet and bought it, did you go for the long neck or short?

This is the one I got, it's a very tight fit

  13. Yeah that's the one I went for

Here is a picture of it fitted

  15. next mod to it should be the 90 degree bend to make the most of the air flow underneath the battery tray and it sits better too

  16. How did you get the original air box out I'm struggling here?

  17. Need to take the battery ecu and battery tray out first, then I found it easier to take the cold air feed off the airbox and take them out seperatly

  18. Thanks a lot I'll give that a try on the weekend

  19. No problem

  20. How's the decat and how much did they charge if you don't mind me asking can PM if you want

  21. Its actually better how it is, paul from RSTuning advised me to move it back to how it sits above if I want bettr airflow at stage 2.

  22. The garage I was gonna use have kept putting me off and hasn't done it :worried: on the look for somewhere else to fit the decat now.

That's good to know Chris, I was always planning to keep the filter where it is at the moment

Unhappy with not having my decat fitted yet I went and ordered an r26r spoiler yesterday, should be here one day this week and il see when my local body shop can paint and fit it for me

  23. Which decat have you gone for fella?

  24. It's a ktec 3" pipe I've got

  25. Been a while since I've been on the forum so some updates are long overdue

DECAT is on, one of my mates has started up his own garage and did it on his ramps for me
r26r spoiler is fitted and the hole in the centre of the bootlid was welded up also
forge dump valve has been removed and a baileys one put on in its place
and the biggest change that is noticeable to see is that the standard wheels have been removed and replaced with focus rs 19" wheels that are painted in Kawasaki green
