Manifold sensor?

  1. I can't remember which one of these sensors is the 225 one???

The black sticker, the white sticker or doesn't it matter.

What fuel rail have you got on it?

  5. It's a complete Megane 265 manifold with my 225 throttle.

Ah cool! It looks far better than the plastic rail in my R26! Is it a direct bolt on for the manifold and is it worth doing?

  7. I'm fitting a complete 265 engine after mine threw a rod and piston out the block.
The 265 inlet manifold is different to a 225/230.

  8. Did you have to use the 265 ECU and gearbox or can you reuse the existing 225 one?

  9. No 225 ecu and gearbox.

Swapped a couple of sensors and the thermostat housing too so everything plugs back in the same.

So how did you get the inlet phlenums to match up with the 225/230 ports? Did you need an adaptor plate?

  11. I'm not using the old head.

    It's a complete 265 enine going in.

  12. This is good news, I wasn't sure the 265 engine was a direct swap but if it is I will keep this in mind

  13. Forgot to say I also swapped the cam pulley cover for the 225 one so the original engine mounting will still work.

  14. Is that all that really changed between the engines?

Expect some PM's from me in the future asking some more questions  It would be great if you could throw together a build thread to record what needed done.

  15. Any questions, fire away.

I will do what I can to help.

  16. I take it you are still using the 265 injectors and 265 fuel rail with the 225 fuel pump and lines?

  17. No, I'm using the 630's I had in the 225.

If I didn't have them I would of used the standard 265 ones.

I will be using a 265 fuel pump as it runs a higher pressure.

  18. Thanks. Keep us posted on how you get on and when you get the car running.

@James did the clutch slave cylinder with the metal pipe fit ok?

  20. Will do.

I'm hoping to fit the engine Sunday if the weather is ok.
    If not next week.

  21. It will do matt e.
I've double checked it all before I fit it.
