I can't remember which one of these sensors is the 225 one??? The black sticker, the white sticker or doesn't it matter.
Ah cool! It looks far better than the plastic rail in my R26! Is it a direct bolt on for the manifold and is it worth doing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm fitting a complete 265 engine after mine threw a rod and piston out the block. The 265 inlet manifold is different to a 225/230.
No 225 ecu and gearbox. Swapped a couple of sensors and the thermostat housing too so everything plugs back in the same.
So how did you get the inlet phlenums to match up with the 225/230 ports? Did you need an adaptor plate? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is good news, I wasn't sure the 265 engine was a direct swap but if it is I will keep this in mind
Forgot to say I also swapped the cam pulley cover for the 225 one so the original engine mounting will still work.
Is that all that really changed between the engines? Expect some PM's from me in the future asking some more questions It would be great if you could throw together a build thread to record what needed done.
This is what I did to use the 225 throttle body on the 265 inlet manifold. http://www.rsmegane.com/threads/mk2-throttle-power-limit.11346/#post-125808
No, I'm using the 630's I had in the 225. If I didn't have them I would of used the standard 265 ones. I will be using a 265 fuel pump as it runs a higher pressure.
