265 LSD on RS265

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by tfmeier, Apr 24, 2017.

  1. When doing big turns in a say wet car park I get this "pushing" sound such as the tyres losing grip or similar.

Car feels great overall bit was wondering is this related to the LSD. How does the LSD actually work in these cars?

    cheers

  3. Since putting coilovers on mine and lowering it a fair bit, along with driveshaft spacers my 250 has stopped doing this. Not sure how or why.

  4. It's related to the steering geometry rather than the LSD - they all do it, especially on low grip surfaces.

    tfmeier and ultralight like this.
  5. Ackerman Steering Principle, more pronounced on loose surface, with low temperature, stiff tyres, etc.

    MilosB and ultralight like this.
  6. Too much or too less Ackerman? What do you reckon?

  7. Depending on which type have you fitted.

  8. we all have the same lsd in cars unless someone is upgraded it

mine is doing that also, even more on wet and with summer and stiffer tyres, also didnt notice that when installing coilovers would decrase that effect, still i am not yet installed driveshaft spacer, still waiting to be installed
