250 Lowering - Cup vs Non Cup

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Kalsbad, Jan 18, 2021.

  1. This will have been asked a million times... but ive searched and cant find a definitive answer!

Lowering a cup vs a non cup

If using the same spring (grams, HnR etc)

Will the cup sit lower than the non cup?

Are the dampers the same height? Just the stiffness difference?

Just this Non cup on HnR vs a cup on HnR with the same spec wheel and tyre are way different! Only the dampers are different?

    Cheers

  2. Cup and non cup cars should sit the same with lowered springs, but they will work better with cup dampers. If your car has done a fair few miles and never had the dampers changed, now would be a good time to swap em for cup dampers. Kam racing do a kit with grams springs and cup dampers.

  3. Cars only on 52k, but im getting some cup shocks tomorrow and just ordered some grams off Kev [emoji122]
