Changing my driveshaft gator tonight I noticed my lower hub bolt was right slack. Iv tightned it up but does this mean a new hub or just see how it goes now it's tight? Cheers
tbh if you never noticed anything wrong before then tighten it and see how it drives after. cheapest option.
Na Thers no play apart from a droplink being humped my steering did go tight for a while but was fine after a long drive I'll see how I get on. Cheers mate
Evening all, just after a but of advise on this lower hub bolt, iv had a slight knocking noise and on inspection found the lower bolt loose, after many hours of stripping it out , cutting the drop link nuts off , as couldn't get the disc screws out, finally got it back together, also tight, my issue now is when I drive and turn to the left or right it doesn't auto correct the steering ? Any ideas on what could now be the cause, thanks jason
Could it have don't them in tightening it all up , ? As they seemed to be fine before I tighten up the lower bolt ?
The bearings will have been seized already that's why the bolt came loose They will need replacing bud
Oh joy , ! Cheers for your advise , is it recommended to replace both sides or just the one that knacked
Think both sides. I have no play in myn at all but if the bolt falls again ill defo be getting my hubs done. Thanks for all the replys
I just tried to tighten the lower bolt on the hub of mine, but it wont tighten up. When I looked closer I could see that what ever the bolt tightens into was also turning round too. There is no play in the suspension or steering and no lateral movement on the hub. The only thing I'm getting is a really annoying jingling noise where the washer on the bolt is rattling.
