Anyone lock or counter hold the rack whilst loosening the inner track rods? Or do you just get on with it? I'm usin this:

Been a faff tbh with that tool. Got into a offers war. Then it arrived, despite being 27-42mm it turned out to be 35-42mm which wouldn't close enough so I've not w got the 27-42mm but haven't tried it yet. Will that other one tighten?
The one I've shown? Yes it will mate we had the same style on at stratstone when I worked there. The one I have has 3 different ends for different sizes

Well you were right (kinda) It came off: It went back on and gripped ok for a initial tightening. Then when I went to torque it I couldn't get it to grip. So I'll be buying the aforementioned.
