Hi guys I've just remove my gaiter and gear knob to have retrrimmed by snappy and the lift reverse doesn't actually do anything mechanical as I can still drive it without the knob fitted is this Right ???
It doesn't do anything mechanical, just stops you accidentally putting it into reverse when you're going for 1st, crack on.
I agree, but my point was that his gear box isn't going to shit it's knickers if he runs for a couple of days without the lift up collar. I take no responsibility for him reversing into the car behind at traffic lights though lol
