Is there any way to protect upper and lower bolsters from wear? Any product to slow the wearing process? Or are these covered by any sort of warranty? 4k miles on my new cup s and I'm seeing wear already....even though I'm quite careful with how I get in and out of the seat.
I was planning on purchasing Dr leather, reviews seem very good and it supposed to leave a matt finish
I use Dr.Leather spray. I've had the wipes and now the spray and the spray is what I'll get again. It's very good stuff and cleans very well. Leaves the leather ultra smooth with no sheen!
I am more so after protection than cleaning...Like any sort of coating or product that helps prevent wear at all?
You could use the dr leather cleaner wipes then use Dr leather dye block which will add the protection
I get out of the car with my right hand on the sill to lever me out. Otherwise I'd be pushing on the seat which would increase wear.
The cloth Recaros on my 250 Cup were repaired under warranty due to excessive wear..... I've just got a 275 Cup-S with leather Recaros and have treated them with Gyeon Leather Coat, not sure how much protection against actual physical wear it will have, but certainly should help a little. But like JohnnyB says above, I try and lift myself out to minimise wear.
