  1. Bolts wont help a compression force. Bolts are only needed for high revs.

If I were going to be using a stronger rod I would add the ARP bolts, but on their own you might as well add a chocolate fireguard

  2. Agreed but it can be a hiding to nothing. You can just end up dealing with keyboard warriors all the time. Thanks for the post David.

  3. I had ARP bolts, waste of time

  4. If anyone wants a set I have a brand new set for sale

I guess that must mean that those which failed sheared the rod itself rather than around the crank?

  6. We have never seen a con rod bolt fail, as mentioned above it is usually the rod that fails. Con rod bolts are a better upgrade on a higher revving engine.

  7. How many rods have you seen failed

  8. like what??..I heard that the 250-on has dished pistons..does it also have uprated rods, which we all know is the mk2 weakspot?

  9. Supposedly stronger rods, but I think it's also the power delivery is different.

Stronger rods as well is one of the main ones

  11. Whats deemed 'safe' on a standard RS250 then?

380/380 but your not getting near those figures without changing the turbo and injectors to name a couple of things

  13. But they did give me a stage 1 map, charged me for a stage 2 and their rollers over read massively. Went to paul at RST and got an actual stage 2 which was an extra 23bhp and capped 20lb/ft and ran so much smoother.
Listen to the masses. They have experience.

  14. Why pay for stage 2, did you get a refund

  15. Not sure what happened here as we do not offer a Stage 2, we do not have a Stage 2 price either. Was this on a 250?

  16. This was an r26 3 years ago. In all fairness 3 years much can change.
