225 Ktec induction kit

  1. I added a 3" cold air feed to mine. The standard piping is very small in comparison.

    I went this route for the ktec.

  2. That looks a lot more purposeful than that standard crap.
     
  3. How much roughly do I need to trim down the elbow reducer, 5mm, 10mm or more????
     
  4. All sorted now. I have just driven my car following the installation of my ITG DIY kit and the sound it makes is immense. My dump valve also appears to be louder now. :-)
     
  5. Would I be right to assume that the ITG DIY kit that so many people fit now including myself have fitted to there cars would give similar performance gains to what KTEC are claiming there induction kit gives. My car definately seems to feel a little more responsive under acceleration.
     
  6. Cant see why not. Theyre essenitally the same thing. I know that the full ITG kit is alot different with a different cone filter and custom battery tray.

    But I would say the DIY ITG would be on par with the over priced Ktec.
     
  7. I think the filter comes down the back of the battery on the ITG kit too. If you know what I mean
     
  8. Yeah it sits behind and too the side, to catch more air flow
