Hi all, So I am the proud owner of a DCI 175 (5 Door), had it for just over a month now and love it. Having had a 197 when they initially came out, it really is great to be back in an RS! I have a slight issue however, I've read about the button on the handle not working etc.. and even purchased a 2nd hand handle from the eBay to see if this remedied the problem to no avail. The issue started when I locked the car using the rear offside button, doors unlocked as normal, but then wouldnt lock again. The boot button and passengers side buttons all worked absolutely fine, just neither drivers side. After around a week, i also noticed the passengers side front would not lock the doors, but again, all would unlock, so i am only left with the rear passengers side and the boot to lock the doors. I replaced the switch that had initially seemed to caused the fault (passenger rear) but this still hasnt solved it... There is only one fuse, which is clearly working, but double checked and replaced anyway, and problem still persists Any further ideas? Really starting to bug me now! Cheers Bob
Hello, Buttons in the door handles are known to stop working. You can either buy new handles or change the buttons. There is somewhere floating around the forums a procedure how to change those buttons with some simple momentary switches as well, but can't find it now S.
seem to be a right pain in the backside!! Have tried to replace the button, but the replacement unit from a breaker didnt work, and looking at the pins, seem to have more pins as well as a black rectangular box inbetween the button and connector... Does anyone have the part number for the handles?
