250 Key Battery Low

  1. Hi all!

I have been out of the country for a couple of months and my wife is only able to take my car out for a short blast of a weekend.

Today she got a Keycard Battery low message on the dash come up! Is this a result of lack of use? Is it a common thing to happen with the keyless entry system??

Or can it just be solved by replacing the battery in the keycard?

  2. Just done mine, just replaced the battery and is fine now.

  3. It's a common issue, sadly you need to take it to a dealer for them to service your card......

 joking, just replace the battery. They tend to last years in my experience though.

  4. Cheers guys! It's in for its MOT on Saturday so I will get it done then.

  5. I doubt they'll have a battery there - just get one from tesco! LR46 if I remember correctly, about £3.

  6. Brilliant thanks for that jos

  7. I replaced with new battery & still it happens plus the key less entry doesn't work anymore. You have I put card in slot, before you could have hey in your pocket

  8. Either the battery is a dud or you need to slight bend the tabs up on the gild ring under the battery. When you go out tomorrow they holding down the battery bit and trying the keyless

  9. I was always changing batteries on my Renault Cards every 9-10 months. They were always failing doesn't matter if it was L2, Scenic mk2 or L3. I normally keep stock of batteries in home and also have got 2 more in car :-) Years of experience with Renault key-less entry :tongueout:
