Keeping the mk3/ 250 ignition on?

    Hi,
    How do you keep the ignition on in the 250? it tends to switch off after a few mins, and I cant see how to keep it on for longer?

    Don't think you can without the engine running, it'll always turn off to prevent the battery dying.

    Just an update to this - it can be done.

    Put the key in the ignition.
    Put the car into gear.
    Press and hold start.

    The dash will now say remove keycard. Do not remove the keycard and the ignition for communication to the computers ill stay on.
