I'm wanting to give the filter on my K-Tec induction kit a clean as it has been on for a while and I've never cleaned it... However I'm unsure of the best method to clean it with it being a foam cone filter. I know K-Tec have the air filter cleaning kit on their website but surely I can do it without having to buy it? I have a K&N air filter cleaning kit lying around, would the filter cleaner from that be okay to use on a foam filter? So, basically does anyone know of the best method to clean a foam cone filter and oil it so not to ruin it? Thanks in advance!
I usually put some apc in warm water then massage the filter clean in the water. Just let it air dry and oil it before you put it back on. Simple.
