Josh Cook - Clio Cup Uk 2014 with KX Akademy

Some of you may know Josh Cook (Cooksport) but if you don't, he races in the UK Clio Cup Championship. This year he was a successful candidate to be part of the KX Akademy. The KX Akademy is a program sponsored by the energy drink KX (found in Tesco stores) and mentored by BTCC Championship winner Jason Plato. Akademy students are not only given lessons in everything to do with winning on the track, they are given advice and lessons on life off the track too. The KX Akademy wants to help build a complete individual who is learned in both on-track and off-track techniques. Learning about their brand, their personal manner, mental and physical well-being and of course, techniques in winning are just a few of the things students will learn at the Akademy and one of the mentors is non-other than MG KX Momentum driver Jason Plato.

The KX Akademy brings together the very best of the raw motorsport talent throughout the UK and continually, we are proud to say that some of the top drivers in both two-wheel and four-wheel events are graduates of the Akademy. One of the quickest examples of the Akademy’s success is MG KX Momentum’s very own Sam Tordoff who has partnered Jason Plato in both the 2013 and 2014 British Touring Car Championship Season and is a graduate of the KX Akademy. In 2013 we saw Tom Ingram rise to the top of his game and win the Ginetta GT Supercup Championship. Tom is a shining example of how the mentorship and lessons from the programme can translate to success on the track and as one of the drivers in motorsport with the highest potential, we are proud to call him one of our own.
