It's fine with the sliders .. Locks on both sides so is solid enough .. I like to slide my seat back for road so that's why I did it like this And yep cage is bolted to the seat mount holes .. Not going anywhere
Cage might not be going anywhere but i would be paranoid about it if i ever had to use the cage for what they are made for, I don't see it just being bolted in with no spread plates being able to dissipate the forces. Not that the cage looks up to much anyway, That the Ktec bolt in?
Looks brilliant mate, did you buy those sub-frames etc. new I've a set for sale that are mint How are you finding the seating position with them ?
Id say the seat mounting points are pretty secure .. The 2 front legs go to the floor with a horizontal bar accross the front of the seat bench also across the floor .. It was originally made for the megane experience cars at Oulton park so not a shitty Ktec cage no . Better than no cage at all , and to be honest I've only got it for looks . For safety you need a full weld in If your that paranoid about rolling it I'm suprised you even manage get on track Seing as you have no cage at all
Looks exactly like the Ktec cages, Which are made by the same people that made the Megane/Clio experience cars. I had planned on getting one for mine but didn't on the advice of several cage installers/builders as it looks ropey as hell. Any plans for getting a proper harness bar added to it? Lol, Im not paranoid at rolling mine, I was on about rolling with that cage.

Yea bought them new from Ktec .. How come your selling yours ? Find them ok to be honest , I have the seats as low as they can go and it's just right for me .. If you are tall you might like them lower Cheers
I ended up getting new Clio Cup Racer side mounts for mine instead. I felt I sat a little too high, saying that it was still lower than standard seating position.
Bit of an update Picked up a Renaultsport Sabelt wheel ... Couldn't resist after seing Daves OMP boss kit and a Motocorsa Quick Release All Fitted , with a sparco Horn button Might fit some black heat shrink over the wires for the horn , bit undecided . Not really anything else you could do for a horn button Also still l got loads of stuff to fit in the garage , got a week of soon for half term so should be some more updates :cool:
That's not a motocorsa quick release mate how much did you pay cause that's the fake version they still work ok though
They do they sell the fake one and the real one. One is half the price of the other. You've got the Epman racing chinese copy one bud.
Id be very suspicious John its boxed up in the fake versions box. I'd be getting onto JJC asap. Last year they were selling motocorsa version on the website but we're selling the epman versions through their ebay shop for half the price. I know as I bought one last year after contacting them there is a difference in quality.
