John's Ultra Blue R26

Discussion in 'Megane Projects' started by John.C, Jul 28, 2013.

  1. Two very nice looking cars there but would agree john needs a spoiler :tongueout:

  2. Dave , it's not that good

  3. im sure it wont affect my rear downforce to bad in a fwd hatch haha. plus mines an R26 and wont be an R26R no matter whats bolted onto it.

  4. Are you saying mines not an r now

  5. Haha well maybe if you squint a bit. I suppose it comes from when I had my fiesta st and meets were flooded with focus st's with rs wheels, spoilers and a remap claiming all kinds of performance. Alot more subtle thankfully on the meganes though.

    Dave

  6. I just did it because i like the look not because i was pretending to be something else anyone who lnows anything about megs can tell its not an r

  7. Exactly mate. I think the vast majority on owners do it for the same reason. I wouldnt say no to a set of .R buckets though that's for sure!

    Dave.

  8. You should try mine Dave, more comfortable than the trendlines, and you don't move you can feel everything through your arse mate

  9. well ive just placed an order with Ktec for some mounts . ill stop whoring johns thread now though and revert back to my own.

  10. Well if you want to meet up give me a call mate

  11. Stunning car mate, great work!

Quick question...I'm after adding a HID kit, led fogs and led interior lights like you have. Do you have a link to the kits/led's you bought or could you point me in the right direction please mate. Was the HID you bought a canbus type?

    Thanks,

    David.

  12. Was just gonna ask what the fogs were

  13. Great thread. Look forward to spotting you round Preston!

  14. Not updated this for a while .. I'll have a look on eBay and post a few links

My cars changed quite allot now .. Should get round to doing an update shouldn't i

  15. right then ...

for the interior you want 501 LED's

I used something along the lines of these , there are many on ebay so have a look and take your pic

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10x-501-T...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45febd5e5b

I used some higher wattage LED 501's in the headlights

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-501-T1...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item417b564082

and H11 LED for the Fogs

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-H11-X...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f39b3ea07

    Headlights were H7 6000k Hid - 35w

Generally i would say buy a set from a seller based in the UK so if you have any faulty items you can exchange them .. also don't buy the cheap sets they will fail , spend a few quid and try to get Bulbs with metal bases these should be higher quality  H7r if i remember correctly , these also have different length lamps so should retain a better beam from the headlights

  16. I'll help you out with the update when I've leathered it round oulton on the 27th

  17. Great! Thanks a lot for the help

  18. Cheers john I've put the led in sidelights number plate lights and internal lights along my xenons never thought of buying led fogs I'll get some ordered

  19. Ha ha ... Then you will realise how much faster than an R it is

  20. John,

Did you find the LED sidelights you bought to be a good match with the HID's? I have bought the HID's which you recommended and want to buy sidelights now. Are the eBay ones you posted the same colour as the HID's?

How is the seats with the slider, Any movement with it?

I have a Profi SPG to go in mine but others may still drive it on track so thinking of getting a sliding rail as well instead of it being mounted straight to the subframes.

Also is your cage literally just bolted in? No spreader plates?
