Ive had the car for a while now so thought id post a progress thread up to keep track of things well July 2012 is when i picked her up and this is how she looked 22,000 miles , full history , every receipt from new , immaculate lady owner for the first 4 years and then an enthusiast just down the road from me who had all ready sent it over to paul at RS-Tuning for a forge intercooler and miltek sytem with de-cat , made 271 bhp . Also the weekend before i bought it he had fitted a set of DS3000's up front and CL5+ in the rear So not bad to start with eh , firstly i ordered a new set of mats then off to my mates bodyshop for an R. spoiler with top of boot welded and repainted Then i thought the car looked a bit plain without the stickers so bought some cheap ones of ebay to see if i liked it also added led sidelights with 6000k HID's and Led fog lights and silvervision indicators And of coarse changed all the 501's to led :yes[1]: More to come ill just find the pictures
i felt the car handled very well although a little to high for my liking and also a bit too much body roll so cooksport springs sounded just right standard height front standard height rear Cooksport front Cooksport rear so after fitting the springs the front was lowered 36mm and the rear about 16mm sits much better now and much less body roll
picked the car up from Birchdown last weekend and must say the service was spot on , they even let me drop the car off on a Saturday and picked it up the following sunday because i work away during the week . Top blokes Andy and Steve , will deffo be going back . works they did : Cambelt+Auxillery belt + water pump 5 year service ( oil , all filters , spark plugs ) and i had the gearbox oil changed aswell just for peace of mind Whilst i was away this week the postman has been busy ! lol Got my spare set of injectors cleaned , should sort out my lumpy idle and missfire when cold ?!? Busy bank holiday for me
Wel gave my BMC panel a clean yesterday , i dint think is was that dirty until i rinsed it out ! Before : Rinse water that came out of it ! there was loads of dirt in the bottom of the bucket aswell , its only done 4k Fitted the cleaned injectors and took it for a spin and it pulls like a train , deffo up on power , i couldn't believe how much faster it was . Well chuffed . Today i removed the rear pads , im currently running CL RC5+ rears and DS3000 front , all tough due to the horror stories about the RC5+ ive decided to change them and fit DS2500 . Mine were fine , no signs of crumbling yet , better safe than sorry i suppose . Check out how much bigger the CL RC5+ pads are the the Ferodo finished ! not to self to buy a rewind tool , i only had to wind them in about 4/5mm and struggled bigtime , my arms are aching now lol Next up Braided hoses :yes[1]: changed my fluid to ATE super blue , and i must say by far the easiest fluid i have bled , you can clearly see when you have flushed the fluid enough as the ATE is bright blue ! definitely will be using this again , also it cheap as chips . Old fluid New ATE :yes[1]: I decided not to fit my DS2500 front yet as my discs are looking a bit worse for wear , uneven like they are ridged from inside to outside if that makes sense . And the DS3000 are awesome but just a bit over kill for me lol . i will pick up a new set of front discs soon and swap them over . Took the car out for a blast to heat cycle the new rear pads , the pedal feel is rock solid , i dint think it could get much better but it has got home and my exhaust has started blowing ! form the decat pipe ! not happy at all . just spent a bomb on it and it goes and breaks . looks like i wont be driving over to Blyton to say hello tomorrow :crying: I checked the bolts to the turbo and all seem fine so must be the lower part of the decat pipe . which i cant reach using a jack . off to my mates tommorow to use his ramp and hopefully just nip it up . :cowboy: Oh and got my spare set of wheels powder coated , just need to paint the center caps now
Only a small update .. Got myself some PF330 discs , they were in a pretty poor state when i got them , stripped them and gave them a paint with some new bolts . Rebuilt them but they had no washers and rattled bigtime lol . Ordered some Belleville washers and rebuilt them again ... Silent now :tt2: Also picked up some wheel bags to keep the back of my car clean from rubber And went over to anglesey for the weekend ... Ive got some more goodies in the post
cheeky copy and paste ... not writting it out again lol got some more updates , ill upload the pics and get them up
The standard seat belts wernt holding me firm enough on track so treated myself to some harnesses took the stickers off ... think i prefer the sleeker look good pic from Oulton Park on Wednesday and got another set of wheels cant decide wether to change the colour and what tyres to put on
Cheers guys I've got blue compomotive stickers for the wheels also blue alloy center caps .. Think ill chuck a set Kumho's on the back and r888's on the front and see what they look like black Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2

Cheers guys .. As Steve said wheels are 18" Rear are ET55 and fronts are ET64 if I remember correctly
Cheers Jamie , I do have some buckets and a cage ready to go tho lol And regarding the Gaz mate , I've had months of problems and just got a full refund on them Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole to be honest . Don't buy them for your 250
