Decided to treat the inferno after my 1st week of ownership and 650miles on the clock. Literally just did: Bilberry on the wheels Snow foamed Washed with gtechnic g-wash Dried. Will probably do a full detail later on but Scrooge Maybe having the pleasure Dat ass Clean pipes even clean under the exhaust. Proper love this car, the noise, the drive, the looks. Everything. +plus only used half a tank coming back from Edinburgh 300mile trip.
Cheers mate, it was inevitable, I was always going to come back. For the 3rd time. yeah the Clio was an absolute weapon.
Looks mint mate. What did you use on your exhaust? Mine was real bad after the winter and all the mud on the roads to work. I can't say on here what I used to clean mine. I thInk you lot will hang me. Lol.
Cheers chap, I just gave it a wipe down with a microfiber as well as the exhaust underneath and put some wolfs body wrap around it and buffed off. It's only going to get better Jamie
1 week in. 650miles = first clean. Inferno content. Gave the engine bay a little clean up as I only had a spare 20 mins Changed the standard split turbo pipe to the samco one. Gave the engine bay a once over with A/f revive. Also found a spare mount so going to send this of the be powder coated. What colour guys?
Any chance I could have your sppare mount when you swap them over? Want to polish mine but can't take the car off the road...
Had a spare 5 mins at work so gave the mount a go over on the buffing machine. A couple more attempts and I reckon it will be nearly ready.
Whey looks much better than painting. Can't wait to do this to mine. Few spare hours with the Dremel.
Had a little service today and a new shiny mount fitted, need to give it another go over but will do for now. Feels loads better with new oil, ready for a change to, millers nano drive ftw. Thanks to Mick. Going to order a few more parts and also have a few parts sprayed such. R spoiler and wing mirror covers. Parts il be buying are: Itg kit 3' decat 630cc injectors 250 turbo Short shift. Also looking at some R26.r wheels and going to have my brakes refurb'd.
Didn't you say didn't want any more power haha You wont see any real gain from fitting an RS250 turbo, you would be better having yours reworked to a hybrid spec.
The turbo is only £250 though? Surely it's better than the one I have already? I love boooooost Yes Chris
it would certainly be better, but I would want the turbo stripping to check before fitting it, last thing you want is your engine being chewed by a duff turbo - £100 Fitting (needs new oil return seals and gaskets) - £100 / £150 Mapping tweak - £120 Not so cheap for another 5-6bhp If your decatting and doing other jobs it's more worth while though! Booooooooooost!!!
You stand need to talk, £2k for forging? This is my little project with no time limit, 1 part a month, step by step.
Tell me about it hahaa! We are addicts. Yeah, if the turbo is cheap enough go for it.. but I would deffo get it checked over for piece of mind before fitting.
I wouldn't fit without being serviced, as with any turbo. Yes we are but 1month in I've only spent £47. #imgettingbetter.
I want to fit the 250 turbo too, ebay jobby at £250?? Awesome drop me a PM when you're ready to git rid of it
