Those wheels look fantastic mate. Changes the look of the car so much. I think they are the nicest wheels Ren fitted to the Mk3's.
So clean!! Think i will treat mine to a good clean sometime this week, actually quite like the wheels in white too, something different
that looks awesome.. could you tell a little more about the application process regarding dipping the wheels?
Thanks mates. It's really easy to do mate, All i done was give the wheels a real good clean plus used tar remover and IronX. I IPA'd them to get all grease off then blew them off to make sure all water was gone. Then i used 4 tins 400ml for all four wheels, Ideally you need 5. I started off with a light dust coat then every 20 mins applied heavier coats, I believe it was 4 coats in total. I kept the spray cans in the oven at work at 30 degrees to help the application. If you do a search on youtube there's lots of helpful guides mate Here's a link to the stuff i bought http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181220903...49&var=480274700722&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Cleaned them for the first time today, Surprised how easy they are to clean to be honest. I'd heard horror stories about the mess just sticking to the wheels, I've waxed them with Meguires liquid wax so that probably helped.
Shiny! 11 hrs. Crikey. White is the fastest, so approved. I must admit, I'm not a fan of the white wheels, I prefer them black on a white car. Each to their own though - fair play. I'm planning on plasti-dipping the wife's vrs's wheels in black (her octavia is yellow).
