Hi I've been looking at buying a 225 Megane and have just discovered that although it has has isofix there doesn't appear to be anything in the boot to fix the top tether strap to. I have seen that there was a recall on some of the 225's as parts of the isofix wasn't fitted but I can't seem to find out if it is to do with the tether points in the boot or the brackets in the seat. Can anyone confirm if there should be some points on the boot floor behind the seat please. All help will be appreciated thanks Ian
Hi Ian the isofix bracket is all you need as far as im aware. your isofix child seat base connects directly on to them and that's all the support/security it needs. I have never seen a tether strap on a seat but im pretty sure that the hooks in the boot floor were for attaching luggage nets etc and not for additional support for child seats? I have been using child seats in megs for years and never had any issues. the brackets work fine hope that helps
Same here I have an isofix base fitted to the 225 and it was a simple case of attaching to two rear locks to the mount inside the seats and the front floor support adjustment, never used any strapping and to be honest I don't think it even has any additional mounting system?
