  1. As per title really I've never really tackled anything as big a removing the box I've read the workshop manual and it seems overly complicated (for me to get my head round). unless its just because there is more writing than pictures lol. Anyone have a simple giude or know where I can get one?.

    Cheers

My advice if your doing it yourself is pull the engine/gearbox out in one.
That box is heavy, if you have access to a 2/4 post ramp, gearbox hoist and lots of extensions and sockets, band aids etc

  3. Yeah I have a 2 poster in the garage at my dads, never removed an engine before just concerned it'll go back in and start lol

Its not that bad a job, wiring loom goes to the fuse box, most everything else is self explanatory, all i have is a jack, axle stands and an engine hoist.
After a couple of lift outs i got it down to under 3 hours for the mk3, the R26 is about 2hrs 20 from driving into the workshop to having the engine and box on the floor.
