Intermittent wiper blades !!!!!!!

Discussion in 'Exterior & Bodywork' started by Y2 KMC, Aug 5, 2013.

  1. As the weather has turned for the worst I'm using my wiper blades more than ever ( only had car couple of months). My wiper stalk in the car has different speed wipers on it but as I move the stalk down towards the floor there only seems to be one setting which is, on all the time or nothing. Any suggestions what I can do ?

  2. Not 100% on this but it sounds like something to do with auto wipers. I think you can switch them on or off in the menu's. Give that a try.

First click down should be auto wipers. Then you turn the stalk as too how responsive u want them to be.

  4. When I click them down one they are the same speed as if I turn them down again. Also turning the stalk does nothing to the speed of the wiper blades ? Had windscreen replaced before I bought it could that have a impact in the auto sensor ?

Down one click shouldnt be on all the time like the next one, should notice the difference.

Maybe sensor yeah if not stuck on properly or something

  6. Just in case, you might know this already, but IMO the auto wipers only really do their thing when the car is in motion, when the car slows down, so do they, and they dont sweep as often.
So best to test then when there is a good amount of rain, I've noticed mine aren't particularly sensitive in light drizzle.

  7. Had the front screen senser off today look fine to me, any one know how much a new one is or if its something else or perhaps it's the stalk that's broken. HELP !!!!!!!!!!
