  1. Just rrying to practise wrap the little trim that goes across the glove box but for the life of me can get the ends of the trim to look right I always end up with creases for example

  2. Well I saw a video applied loads of heat and stretched to het this result which isn't too bad for a first timer

The end result looks like this... just need to fit it now...

    Its a brushed aluminium effect

  3. Fitted it... although when you open the box you can see the bits where its all quite crease :worried: from thw outside it looks good though lol

  4. How did you remove the glove box strip? I recall its a slide to one side and pull.
Is it bonded as I have tried once but id rather buy a replacement to use more force.

  5. Yeah slide it to the left... I just put pressure on it with my palm whilst holding the glovebox door with my left to put pressure on it from the other side.. think I'm gonna remove the vinyl though... as it seems to mark easily and my grab handles didn't look as good... :worried:

  6. There is definitely an art to wrapping but I think it takes practice and probably more practice.

I did a few bits of trim in my last 172 and with a bit of practicing, heat and patience it seemed to work but wasn't perfect. I just hoped the slightly less neat ends weren't apparent when the trim was fitted.

Looks really good though mate.

  7. Cheers alex... the pictures make it look better than it is... in real life it feel like a fabric and looks it too which just makes it look a tad cheap...

Doesn't look like a bad job at all, heat is key to it.

Just wrapped one of my polishers should see the edges on that.
