Has anybody ever tried any sort of ptfe or phenolic gasket for the megane? Surely it must have some benefit , it does get quite hot under the bonnet Cane across this on ebay http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=171487387528&alt=web
PHENOLICS: Phenolic laminated sheets are usually brown or black and have excellent mechanical properties. Phenolics are commonly used in the manufacture of switches and similar components because it is easily machined and provides excellent insulation. Phenolic laminates are widely used for terminal boards, connectors, boxes, and components
Havent tried it for the megane but had some ptfe ones on my old clio, TBH i never noticed any difference. There ment to work by stopping heat from the head conducting up through to the inlet manifold and warming it so i think you'd have even less benefit on a turbo car as the air is heated by the turbo prior to the manifold.
