R26 Hub nuts: can they be used twice?

  1. If you need to undo the front hub nut do you need to replace it or can you safely put it back on again?

You can use them a couple of times without a problem

  3. As above - I'm sure the tech guide says to renew them every time but although I've replaced them, I've had them on and off a couple of times subsequently and haven't lost a wheel yet.

  4. Thanks. The reason I ask is that my hub nut came loose after having some work done on the steering. They did not replace the hub nut. If that isn't the reason it came loose then I'm guessing they either didn't tighten it properly or the wheel bearing is on the way out (there's no other evidence of that yet).

They just didn't tighten it up Steve, you did a track day after tightening it and i guess its still the same bearing in there
