Evening all. Does anyone know how long it takes to program keycards to the car, surely it can't be more than 20-30 minutes at the most? Renault are doing my tits in at the moment. I lost a key a couple of weeks ago whilst out on a bike ride, turns out I paid 15 quid for key insurance and lo and behold they paid out the £167 quid as soon as I'd ordered the key from Renault. That's the good part! Renault phoned me today to say the key had come in and to book a slot to get both keys programmed to the car. Jesus it was like pulling teeth trying to book it in, they wanted me to book it into a 4 hour slot - The only 'bring it and wait' appointments finish at 1pm, and the last 'bring it and leave it' appointments are at 2pm. What the f*ck use is that when I'm working and have kids to pick up after! I have a day off on Fri 12th June (2 weeks time!) and asked them what they had then, 12pm was the earliest they had. it's the other side of Sheffield and an hour+ on 2 buses to get home and the same back, then a horrendous drive through the town centre at rush hour - I'd be looking at 3hrs minimum travel time backwards and forwards to a place 8 miles away, basically my whole day off gone. I'm going to go down there tomorrow (I'm off this week, and as it happens my Mrs wants to look at a Captur before she buys one from somewhere cheaper) and am hoping to get them to do it there and then if I reliably know how long it takes so they can't f*ck me off. Cheers, Rob
try DDC in Doncaster, they did mine for me... it was in for a service at the same time, so I don't know how long it takes them...
Thanks, but I've already paid so I could claim it back. I'll just see if I can get it done tomorrow, my Mrs is off too so I have the option of leaving the car for a few hours.
