R26 How important is this bit.....

  1. ..... I think I already know the answer, but I'm after a sanity check:

    I believe it braces the two front wishbones together. Hypothetically, if this piece were missing from an R26, would you imagine that it could explain a nasty knocking noise when entering a roundabout (i.e. turning right) in a mildly spirited manner?
     
  2. More important, that fixes the 'carrot' bushes from the subframe to the chassis. Without it, you expect the whole subframe to move A LOT.

  4. Yep, thanks both! Refitted it this evening and solved my knocking and wandering front end issues.
