My 225s done this for a few months now when I start the car it idles at exactly 1200rpm as soon as the temp gage starts to rise it drops down to a nice steady 800rpm whats causing it to idle at 1200rpm for the first few minutes? Cheers
That's normal mate, just ticks over a bit higher with it being cold then the will drop off once it's got a bit of heat in it. It's essentially like a choke on older cars it's just controlled by the ECU instead of being manual.
I was gonna day it's standard mine starts at 1100 and drops off to about 800 once up to running temp. Also it hovers higher just after coming to a stop and drops off about 10 seconds later. Completely normal.
