Hi, looking for R26

  1. Hi all,

My name's Jonny and I'm looking to buy an R26 but not until May or June 2015. I need a new car but I don't need to drive until then, hence the wait. Should have the budget for a good, clean example with fairly low miles.

I'm coming from a 106 which I have owned for 7 years. Spent the first few years as a young lad giving it the following spec:

106 'sleeper' with 1.6 Rallye engine with headwork, 4-2-1 supersprint manifold and exhaust, Gaz coilovers and shocks, Rallye rear beam converted back to 3 stud, polybushes, solid engine mounts, stripped, corbeua bucket seats, carbon fibre interior panels, TAS quick shift

It's heaps of fun but now completely impractical and the shell has covered moon miles! Cracking car when I was younger though, still sounds great and goes really well.

Can add a couple of pictures if anybody is interested.

I'll be keeping my (future!) R26 fairly OEM+ with some lowering (possibly cooksprings initially), and a spec to get it to stage 2 but limiting the torque to a safe figure. Getting really excited already. I couldn't face driving something less fun and slower than my 106 was!

    Thanks

Look for one that's already been remapped to save some money. Black ones look the best and good luck!
