1. Hi guys thinking about getting a r26 f1 in liquid,really like them,always had my fast Vauxhall but now fancy an r26 f1 for the summer,what are the pros and cons about them would like one with a stage 1 rs remap,molten,lowered and that will do me,

  2. I've had RS Meganes for just over 5 years. Pros - they go well, handle superbly, look great (especially in LY :smiley:) and are very reliable providing they're looked after. I've had zero breakdowns in all the time I've owned them. My R26 has a decat and induction kit and made 272bhp/285lb with an RS Tuning map.

    Cons, well they have common faults like all cars. Scuttle drains/door drains blocked leading to water ingress (check the carpets and door pockets for signs of water), driveshafts and CV boots, hub bearings, engine mounts, all of which are easy to notice. Window regulators are another so check they work properly, though there are fixes posted on the forums and I think Renault still have a subsidised rate for replacing them.

    Just try and buy one that's been looked after with a good history, has decent tyres and doesn't look like a 20 year old drug dealer has driven through Halfords in it.

    There's one for sale now in the classifieds here which has pretty much everything you want, I'd definitely go and have a look. Lowered, mapped, nearly new tyres:
