I’m hoping someone with experience of the Megane 265/275 F4RT can shed some light on an intermittent throttle issue I’ve been having.

My car is a 2016 Megane 275 Cup S.

I’ve previously had an intermittent P0121 / check injection fault. On one occasion it went into limp mode and limited me to around 20 mph. The fault seems to occur mainly when the car is cold, particularly when pulling away or using the throttle at low speed.

The car has previously had the throttle body and accelerator pedal replaced by a previous owner, and there has also been some wiring repair around this system.

Recently, a friend scanned it with a Snap-on Zeus Plus and carried out a throttle adaptation. The car has been driving normally since.

I then had it scanned again with an Autel Renault system and it showed:

DTC 213564 – Pedal/throttle position coherence – Signal incoherence – MEMORY

It also had P0420, although I’m treating that as a separate issue for now.

I cleared the codes and then carried out a “throttle command” / actuator test on the Autel. I could hear the throttle body operating and moving as the ECU commanded it.

However, immediately afterwards the car wouldn’t start. After leaving it for a short while, it started normally again and has been running fine.

I’m trying to understand:

• What exactly does the “throttle command” function do on the F4RT?
• Is it normal for the car to temporarily not start after carrying out the throttle actuator/adaptation procedure?
• Could the no-start simply be because the ECU/throttle needed to reinitialise?
• Does 213564 in MEMORY suggest the original throttle issue has actually returned, or is it just a historical fault?
• Given the previous P0121, throttle body/pedal replacement and wiring repair, would you be looking at the throttle body, accelerator pedal, wiring/connectors or ECU next?
• Is there a particular Renault CLIP live-data test I should have done to compare the two pedal tracks and two throttle-position tracks?

The car currently starts and drives normally, so I’m trying not to start throwing parts at it unnecessarily.

Any advice from someone who knows these cars would be massively appreciated
