Hi there guys my name is James and as above I'm in Brisbane QLD Australia, I have just moved over here from the UK. Whilst in the UK I've had my fair share of hot hatches and still have my SB engined 106 gti tucked away in the garage for when i go home to visit family. Ive also had in the past a 182 cup and an RS250 FF before moving over to the dark side and getting an M235i... Alas now I've made the move the beemer has gone and in the back of my mind I've always slightly regretted getting rid of my Megane in the first place. Sooooo I didn't hesitate about my next car and just put a deposit down on a new LY RS275 Trophy-R Ill keep you updated on any progress made and when i get to pick her up Cheers guys
Its one of only 50 units shipped to Australia and there aren't many LY at that, most are white Ive had a white and a grey 250 so time for some colour
Hi and welcome James. I believe that Oz is now the second biggest market for Renaultsports, after France. Given this, it's interesting that the R hasn't sold out as quickly as it did over here (<1 day). Maybe they're less speculators down under? Great car BTW, you'll love it
Thanks Xanda oh really? thats interesting an interesting fact i would have thought the UK would have been? I did look at a OG-R but like i said above I've already had an OG 250 so fancied some colour this time! I think this is the last one of 6 available in Australia now they have all been bought buy "customers" (renault) so they could sell them on so I've been told. Thanks buddy can't wait to get it now.
Sold out in 1 day lol, I don't think so , I could of had one from a dealer up north long after they came out for sale
I'm not saying you're wrong Steve, but that seems to be at odds with the perceived wisdom on this. I know there was a few cars who's owners didn't fulfil the order and maybe lost their deposit, but your second post disproves that.
Myself and R Carl could of had one in the spec we wanted, the salesman we both spoke to assured us they had not all been sold and ordering one wasn't a problem by any means, it was just too much IMO for a megane
