Hi all, Thought I'd drop in and introduce myself as I've been on and around car forums for around the last 8/9 years and about to pick up my first ever RS, a 2006 Megane 225 (non cup ) Currently driving an Octavia vRS as my daily bus, a Mk1 Golf GTi Clipper as my show/weekend toy and have a Mini 1275 GT Clubman stashed away I fancied something I can chuck about a bit after doing a recent Euro/Alps road trip via many, many passes including the legendary Stelvio Pass in a 2012 Porsche 981S. I've previously owned all sorts, from my first car which was a 1 year old Saxo VTR, through many other VTRs and VTSs including a tracked up and caged VTS which had a few magazine features before I sold that to fund a wife. Also had a Mk6 Escort RS2000 4x4, VX220 n/a, Metro GTi, Mk3 Golf GTi 8v and a load of other tat to fill the gaps! Plans for the Megane? First off a full detail and winter protection, then uprate the suspension, Quaiffe LSD, Trophy ARBs and an RS Tuning remap to get the most out of the chassis! Already very happy with it and I haven't even picked it up! Cheers dude There are lots of cars that I'm yet to own that are still on my list. Next major purchase will be a Porsche Carrera 4 964 or 930 then eventually a splitty camper.
