Having owned my Megane 225 since just before Christmas I felt it was time to get it remapped. I had an RStuner sat in the loft collecting dust left from my Clio 182 previously. Id been very impressed with the map on my Clio and the RStuner software, so decided to go down this route with my Megane. I know lots of Megane owners say how excellent RStuning in Leeds are, and I have no doubts, but I decided this options was better suited to my situation. Anyway, after having some issues getting the map to load I received excellent customer service and support direct from Henk at Fastchip, he has spent the last 5 days in contact with me and has spent time looking over my error logs and screenshots. He then asked me to return his map file which he looked into and re-sent an edited file for me which loaded with absolutely no problems. As for the map.....what can I say, its absolutely transformed the car! Feels completely different! Having stepped from quite a heavily modified 182 to a 5dr 225 the Megane didn't feel hugely quicker, better, but not quicker, but with the remap, my God it feels fast! I've only taken it for a quick spin but the low down torque is excellent, all whilst maintaining driveability . So, if your not in a position to go to RStuning or you don't feel that route is for you, Fastchip's RStuner really is bang for buck the best mod you can do, and Henk's customer support is superb, can't recommend him enough. Cheers, Mark
Hey Mark, I've got a fastchip map on mine too, i'm the same as you, can't fault Henk at all he's awesome! When i tried to explain on the "other site" that Henk was a viable alternative to RSTuning people accused me of being a sales rep for Fastchip! I'm of the same view that bang for buck you can't beat Henk, I'm trying to fight the urge for a stage 2 custom map from him!
what tuning kit was purchased to allow him to change the air fuel ratios? or was this the standard unit.
I might give it a go, you guys have really got me thinking now getting to Leeds is a bit of a lick for me, so just might give it a go.
