  1. Hi all,

As my original post has been locked an i am unable to update it, I am starting this one. Hope moderator will explain why.

I am still waiting for member rsbeag to refund me for the rear beam which he did not deliver, so watch out for this guy.
I deleted his real name from my original post, after he asked me and, promised to refund me and gave me a specific date, but he did not, again.
I went to police and been told that its a Civil matter and to see a solicitor. So people can f..k u and get away with it. Have another promise too be refunded next week. If not, i have to get a solicitor. Don't want him to get away f..king me.
I will publish his name again if not refunded by Fridays next week

  2. ok. I will wait for next weeks episode of name and shame to find out what has gone on!

  3. RSBEAG has only 2 posts on the forum and not been on here since 30th September so I doubt he will see this post. Good luck

  4. How did you pay? While it might not help in this instance it's very important not to presume people are trustworthy off the bat even on a car/community forum and use a method that can be shown what you paid and what you paid for.
Paypal gifts for example are not a way to pay if you don't know someone, bank transfers? Might as well throw money in the street.

If you paid in some way that you can show there was an agreement to pay x amount and receive some goods then maybe you could take them to small claims? But you'd need to know who they are to do that.

/edit, I see you've been through this on the previous thread. It sounds like your only action is the legal on, small claims or similar.

  5. But he does browse the forum, and was well aware when i named him in may original post

  6. Just money claim online it if you have his address don't waste money with solicitors.

  7. I don't have his address, only name and bank details

  8. if you check his profile he hasnt used the forum or logged in for about 18 days

  9. Yes he did not. Since i deleted his name from my post.

  10. So so how's a solicitor going to help. They won't be able to get details from that.

Put his sort code in Google which will tell you where he banks, then check the council tax records for that area for his name and you should get an address.

  12. If the account was setup online it won't. I think you'll have to chalk it up to experience. I'd never send anyone money without name address and contact details.

Put his mobile number in a phone tracker app, and see where it pings up, long shot but worth a try.

  14. How did you pay? I hope sensibly if he's not been on here long

  15. A what?! There isn't anything that does that available to the public. Unless you have an IP address which even then isn't easy to trace unless you have access to isp records.

  16. Put his name into 192.com

  17. There must be an address registered on that account, or not?

  18. Likely, but banks are uber keen on their data protection so you'd struggle to get it.

  19. Guess will hire a pi to find him and pay that f..k a visit one day

  20. Yes but solicitors have zero grounds for getting that information. Police do solicitors don't.

  21. What if he has done this to more people, will this still be a civil matter?

  22. One case of fraud of a small value the police arnt interested in. If you have multiple people with the same issue it would be a criminal case.

  23. So far we are three from this forum

  24. Some one must have an address for him at least.
PM the name and I'll have a look what I can find out.

  25. Hi I agree with rTem,
I am one of the others he's taken the money and ran from

    (Was for a intercooler)

  26. It's OK I know a lot more about him then he thinks lol taking money from people is funny until they know a lot about you I suppose

How did you both pay? Bank transfer?

  28. I have a feeling they paid with no fees, no cover. He had two posts?

  29. I paid via bank transfer

Then I have no sympathy - I only bank transfer with my family as they are the only ones I trust enough to send money to without protection.

People who only ask for bank transfers are untrustworthy it's as simple as that.

  31. Well lesson learned

  32. people tend to think fellow enthusiasts will be trustworthy, as most are, but there are some proper twats out there who are just out to feck you over, lesson learned mate, treat everyone as a thieving twat and you will be ok, paypal only and never as a gift.

  33. After having his word to have our money back yesterday, still nothing. Will go to police again during the week and ask if they will act, when i am not the only one victim

  34. Guy is an absolute t£&t by the sounds of things

  35. Ok boys, got my money refunded today, did not really belive it happening, but the guy refunded me. It is not over yet, another two honest members are waiting to be refunded

  36. That's good, for you anyway.

When all members are refunded can you post in here so we can take the appropriate action to mark his IP and ban his activity, I appreciate he might see this but regardless keep us posted please.

  39. Big thanks to the admin team for this kind of effort: cheers Naith
