Hi all, Have tried searching but am struggling to find what i'm after, hopefully you can help to point a newbie in the right direction I've recently bought a 250ff Cup and will be doing a few bits to it - Ohlins, changing engine mounts, uprating the cooler etc However when it comes to power, I'm after a bit of help... I'm not chasing numbers but I am looking to build something very quick. Questions I have... 1. I think, based on what I've seen with owners with 400bhp+, that it becomes fairly laggy and then takes off like a rocketship. Not really interested in that 2. I'm thinking a hybrid turbo and looking for between 350-375 may represent what I want. Does anyone have a car like this, with a dyno graph to see how the power creeps in? If so, are there tried and tested recommendations on how to get there and - crucially - is going forged the answer for reliability at that level? 3. Are there any "essential mods" that I should look at getting done. I've seen something about gearbox mounts from the 265/275 being useful... is there anything else that seems to be generally accepted as a 'must have'? It'll be a DD and I'll do a few ring trips each year, plus maybe one or two UK track days but tbh FWD cars I've found to be a bit boring compared to RWD on our tracks Cheers
indeed, but i didn't say "not capable" - just boring (IMO). I had an MX5 for a while and that was superb fun, albeit considerably slower. All personal preference I appreciate, but the point of that sentence was merely to say it wouldn't be getting flogged round UK tracks
