R26 Help me locate a hole in the firewall for a boost gauge.

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Carbine, Oct 14, 2015.

  1. I'm currently trying to install a Stack boost gauge, and I'm having trouble finding a suitable hole and easy to get to hole in the firewall to thread the hose through. My car is right-hand drive, and I've heard people saying there's a grommet near/behind the clutch/glove box. Can anyone provide pictures of their set up, and where their hosing comes in and out? Thanks.

  2. Your in the right area ... Remove the airbox and follow the loom of cables back to the bulkhead with your hand and you will find where you need to be

Bit of a nightmare trying to get anything through the bulkhead on these

You can see it if you remove the glovebox, takes about five mins to feed through. I did it when I was relocating battery.

    Reallllly easy to do mate.
