250 Help! Brake fluid leak.

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by jimmy, Apr 4, 2017.

  1. I have a brake fluid leak that seems to be leaking (quite badly) from somewhere just above the near side front drive shafts and it's all over the wishbone and cv boot.
I believe it's coming from the clutch feed pipe but can't get in there to inspect. Has anyone had this problem?

  2. No one??

  3. follow the brake line up from the caliper and see if its coming from where the rubber/braided line joins the solid line. May have come loose. A pic would be handy too if possible.
If its not that, then yes like you say, the Slave cylinder for the clutch may have gone, but the pedal will give you a clue and also the fluid level

  4. I had exactly the same problem. Nearside? Going all over the ARB??

It was the pipe feeding the clutch slave cylinder if I remember correctly. Nice and easy to replace actually

There's a strange 'cap' on the pipe near to the battery that mine leaked from. Weird design.

Message me if you need more help.

  5. Yep same issue I had was leaking from the resonater which is kn the pipe between the master and gearbox. But you have to buy the whole pipe from Renault
