Long time RenaultSport owner [and occasional driver]. Have the last RHD R26.r made. Ordered from new 2009. Spent most of it's time in storage due to "occupational commitments", but increasing in use. Had previously signed up to Meganesport.net or such-like, but now the Megane II is getting on a bit I thought I'd try and find a more focussed club, having got the impression most of those expressing their opinions on the previous site where 14 year old boys. I thought the 'other place' was pretty much dead tbh. Welcome along - as above get some pics up of the R. No qualms about putting miles on it then, if it's in mostly as new condition?
Was 5k miles miles until recently and only that high as I used it to to go to Portsmouth twice, Manchester twice and Reading three times in 2010, so that accounted for half of those. I have found the time to use it properly a few times last year. At Snetterton, Castle Coombe and Bedford Autodrome and it is outstanding. Spec remains as original although having been unsure about the standard red wheels at the time I ordered the car, I decided to have a set of Black Interlago's delivered as well. The often cited "list" was always a bit French [that'll do] so it doesn't detail the cars which where delivered without decals on but had them supplied in the boot, or those like mine which came with both sets of wheel options or alike. Otherwise, TI, Cage / Toyos are only options I went for. In hindsight I'd have had all the options and then bought a set of red wheels. I tried to add climate but it was too late as build schedule for the .r and end of the Megane II had been set by then. The final pics is for those who appreciate Jap wheels.
