hello all, just paid a deposit n this, its getting a new clutch and ill be able to pick it up when im home from work

Yeah its hpi clear and i never noticed the grill. I was told the clitch has started slipping so there putting a new one on.
it has some history but no record of timing belt, so thats the first job. it has 6 months warranty too so if theres anything wrong, it will be going back. not even drove it yet, but i had a 172 engine converted clio and loved it, so i cnt wait to pick it up
Did you pay extra for the warranty He asked me if I want extra one but got one cheaper elsewhere Can he not get the water pump and timing lot cheaper for you ?? Especially if he is doing the clutch
Its just the basic warranty im getting with it. I think he probably could get timing belt n pump done cheaper but i would rather an ecmxperienced renault mechanic done it. Clutch should be done now too, was going to be ready for monday, but im away at work until at least next monday so will have to wait to collect it
Any of you guys found a specialist in the north east. Iv spoke to alpina automotive (ithink) and was quoted 580 for timing belt and water pump
Thanks guys. 406 is a good price. Most other places are around the 600 mark. spoke to garage this morning and the clutch the ordered was the wrong one so they went to renault desler and bought one so car eont br ready for a few more days. Although that doesnt matter as i wont be home until monday at least anyway
I'd definitely take it to Andy @ Clioturbo, he's a trader on cliosport.net also. Are they changing the flywheel & slave as well as the clutch?

I very much doubt that they will change those too. But im handy with a spanner so i can change those myself if ever needed. I was just working at teeside recently
Alright lads I live in blaydon prior to that North Shields! Always going by ogn in my black r26 through wallsend! As for a specialist, the best I know of in North East is TW and S Barker on pottery lane Newcastle city centre! Good service Renault specialist, cheap and very knowledgeable!
