  1. Hi Guys and girls of course!

New to this forum, im Luke, 24 from Essex, god sounds like im writing a dating description about me!

Anyway at the weekend I departed with my very much loved and my baby Honda civic type r Fn2, very highly modified with full mugen kit, 209.8 wheel horse power and 186 lbft of vtec goodness haha. believe me that sounds small but it kept up and showed up a lot of things.

The reason I sold my civic is so that I could have some spare cash to fund my wedding in august 2017.

So I bought at a very good deal, and a very lovely car a 2004 Renault sport megane 225. very happy with the car at the moment, no problems at all and pulls very well just like a train!

im still unsure if its quicker than the civic, ive been told the megane has had the air box done, fmic and remap but no proof of dyno print out unfortunately! so that will be first step along with an exhaust!

anyway heres some pictures of my old baby and the new one!

Cant wait to meet some of you at future meets etc!

  2. Oh and any ideas on modifications would be great!

  3. :smile:Good evening. Hope you enjoy the Megane. Was the Type R any better than the previous incarnation? I Did drive one, steering was wooden & found it gutless.Nice gearbox thou.

  4. Welcome I had a Civic Type-R FN2 for 2 weeks. In October, I couldn't stand it. Fitted the HKS Induction kit removed that as didn't like sound. Just couldn't get into it at all, hated waiting for rev's to rise to 4,500rpm for it to come to life in standard form and that in order to get moderate power increase it was fairly pricey.

Anyway welcome and nice to see a fellow newbie to the Megane world

  5. Thanks for the warm welcome!

I found the civic an amazing machine, I've had 2 now. I am enjoying the Megane but need to change the tyres to some decent ones as the previous owner has put budgets on all round.

The civic I had was very highly modified so it stuck to the road and track at any speeds I through at it. I see it like driving a go kart.

I've not driven the ep3 but have been told it's slightly better handling than the fn2 model.

It was a shame to see it go but say the least I'm enjoying the Megane!

It's in for a service today so that should unlock a few more horses from her too.
