Hi guys don't know of this has come up on here before just wondering where the heater motor is located and how easy it is to remove as since I have had my recent 12k service when you turn the heating up there is a humming noise and when I have taking it back to the garage that done my service they tried saying it would be £186 supplied and fitted bit then went to a different garage and they said it could be that there was just some leafs fell on to the motor and to remove the pollen filter and hover the leafs out which I have tried and it has helped a bit but need to remove motor to see if it is damaged at all thanks in advance
Hi Paul I had to replace the heater motor on mine not long ago as it was humming/catching something. Its located in behind the glove box, near the bulk head and kinda positioned behind the radio if that makes sense. Took me about 1hr to do as I was in no rush and its fiddly getting it in and out. Remove glove box Tie up all other looms that are in its way as it makes getting it out easier. Get your left hand up in behind the dash and you'll feel the motor placed in the air duct. Twist it clockwise (I think) and it will release it from the air duct tgen it's just a case of navigating it out past the pipes and wiring. You will then be able to unclip it from the loom. I got a genuine Valeo one from Euro Car Parts for £68.31 Use promo code MOT10 for 10% discount online. Hope this helps Kris
