225 Heater fan not working

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by maddog, Dec 11, 2018.

  1. has anyone had an issue with the heater fan not working? A few months back it stopped working for a day but came back to life on its own, but this week after having no issues at all, it’s stopped working. It won’t work on any setting.

Any ideas on the cause? It’s not the fuse.

  2. Renault had a lot of issues on megane 2 (2003-2007) and particularly scenic with the Heater blower resistor pack wiring, the plastic connector tend to melt and shorts itself, they even created and retrofitted a small harness to replace this with a new resistor pack, on scenic you have to access it via the 2 vent in the middle of the dash a pig to get too but on meganes maybe check on catcar.info for exact location.

  3. Cheers for the reply mate. After ding some digging i found it was the blower resistor. Its easy to get to. Remove the 5 hex screws that hold the glove box on, remove the glove box and its at the top right just behind the blower.

For info in case anyone ever has a similar issues.....on a PH2 225 the correct part looks like this

    DWCX-New-Heater-Fan-Blower-Resistor-6441L2-6441W6-7701048390-for-Peugeot-107-207-406-607-Citroen.jpg

And not this ( this is for non climate control models such as the DCI etc)
