Headlight help!!

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by JetsetRon, Nov 21, 2015.

  1. Morning all.

Wanted we some advice on my headlights.

    I own a 2005 225 Sport with the auto-tilt xenons.

The passenger side main xenon beam has died. The sidelight is still working, as is the high beam.

I had the pleasure of removing the bumper to investigate yesterday.

After swopping bulbs around, plugging the left headlight into right hand loom and vice versa, I've discovered it's not the xenon bulbs or the loom.

On the passenger unit it's not just the xenon bulb that won't power/light, the tilt is dead too.

Any advice? A search has shown 'ballast' can be the problem, but does this prevent the tilt motors running too?

If it points to ballast, best place to buy? Seen ballast just under £90 on eBay.

    Many thanks.

  2. Have you checked the integrity of the levelling sensors and their respective arms? Both mine were missing.
