250 Headlight condensation

Discussion in 'Exterior & Bodywork' started by -Chris-, Mar 27, 2015.

  1. I'm getting fed up with my headlights being constantly condensated. Has anyone successfully sorted this themselves?

I'm contemplating removing them tomorrow and looking to see if I can dry them out and then seal them somehow.

  2. Yes. If you can get hold of one of those little sachets that you get with new shoes, just put it into the headlight for a day. Good as new.

  3. And how about sealing it up to stop it happening again?

is the headlight a sealed unit or can you open it up?

  4. I did this and left it tucked away out of site sorted it for the last 6 months anyway

  5. It's called silica gel or desiccant you can pick it up of eBay really cheap.
If it stops working chuck it in the oven for half hour at 50-60 degrees and it's good to go again.
It's normally blue in colour and turns pink when used.
